Product Introduction
TSL2561 is an optical to digital converter that converts light intensity into a digital signal output and has a direct I2C or SMBus interface. Each device is connected to a bandwidth photodiode and an infrared responsive photodiode on a separate CMOS integrated circuit, which has the ability to provide a near adaptive light response with a dynamic range of 20 bits. Two integrated ADCs convert the photocurrent into a digital output, which represents the measurement of the luminescence of each channel. This digital output can serve as an input for a microprocessor.
Product characteristic
TSL2561 is a high-speed, low-power, wide range, programmable and flexible optical intensity digital conversion chip launched by TAOS company. This chip can be widely used for monitoring various display screens, with the aim of providing the best display brightness and minimizing power consumption under changing lighting conditions; It can also be used for street lighting control, safety lighting, and many other occasions. The main features of this chip are as follows:
1. The programmable configuration allows for the upper and lower thresholds of light intensity, and an interrupt signal is given when the actual light intensity exceeds this threshold;
2. The digital output conforms to the standard SMBus (TSL2560) and I2C (TSL2561) bus protocols;
3. Programmable control of analog gain and digital output time;
4. In low-power mode, the power consumption is only 0.75 mW
5. Automatically suppress light fluctuations of 50 Hz/60 Hz.
