Precision continuous self-calibrating A/D converter with differential input and up to 16-bit resolution package provides input differential voltage range of 2.048V reference voltage in small SOT23-6 chip, The ADS1110 operates on a single power supply from 2.7V to 5.5V using a compatible I2C serial interface. The ADS1110 can sample 15, 30, 60 or 240 times per second to convert the on-chip programmable gain amplifier PGA provides up to 8x gain and allows measurement of smaller signals at high resolution. In single-cycle conversion mode the ADS1110 automatically power down after one conversion greatly reduces current consumption during idle periods. The ADS1110 is designed for applications requiring high-resolution measurements where space and power consumption are primary concerns Typical applications include portable instruments industrial process control and small transmitters.
