INA231 IIC I2C port bidirectional current power monitoring sensor module

The INA231 is a current shunt and power monitor with a 1.8V I2C compatible interface (with 16 programmable addresses). The INA231 monitors the shunt voltage drop and bus supply voltage, providing enhanced protection by setting the alarm pins to active when the corresponding values are outside the programmed range.

Programmable calibration values, conversion times, and averages can be used in conjunction with an internal multiplier to enable direct reading of current values (in amps) and power values (in watts), thereby reducing the host processing load.

The INA231 detects the current on the bus voltage (between 0v and 28v). The device is powered by a single supply from 2.7V to 5.5V and consumes 330 μa (typical value) of supply current. The INA231 is rated to operate from -40 °c to + 125 °c.
