Product Overview

The module uses the FT232RL chip with USB 2.0 to convert USB into a serial port. It has two output levels of 3.3V and 5V, which can be set by short circuiting the jumper cap with the VCC. For computers without a serial port, a USB to serial chip can be used to create a virtual serial port. The FT232RL chip is a single-chip solution that generally does not require external devices. Even the crystal oscillator, USB matching resistor, and EEPROM for storing product information are already integrated internally.
