15W3A high-power UPS18650 lithium battery boost charging 5V9v12V while charging UPS uninterrupted
15W3A high-power UPS18650 lithium battery boost charging module
Product Brief Introduction
This product is suitable for uninterrupted power supply applications of power outage equipment. When there is power, external power supply is used, and when there is a power outage, it automatically seamlessly switches to battery power supply.
If using a USB interface for power supply, it is recommended to use the Type-C interface. Compared to the microUSB interface, it can pass much higher current, with a maximum of 5A.
Suitable for devices such as routers, cameras, development boards, etc., seamless switching of battery power supply in case of power failure, and uninterrupted network connection in case of power failure.
Product Use
*Seamless switching between external power supply and battery dual power supply (without delay).
*Uninterrupted power supply, self starting during power outages, and self charging during incoming calls.
*The output voltage is 5V/9V/12V, and other voltages can be customized.
*Four practical functions: lithium battery charging, lithium battery protection, boost output, and UPS switching.
*The two-color LED indicates the charging status, and the green light remains on when fully charged, automatically stopping charging.
*Type-C interface, with high current flow.
Product Funtions
1. UPS function: When the power supply has power, it directly supplies power to the load through the boost circuit and charges the lithium battery. Once the power is cut off, the battery circuit automatically starts to supply power to the load through the boost circuit.
2. Boost circuit: peak power up to 20W, rated power up to 15W, BOST boost circuit, built-in 12A high current MOS, efficiency up to 96%, module static power consumption 25mA, optional 5V/9V/12V output. (Recommended for normal load<15W. Output 5V: current 3A, output 9V: current 1.6A, output 12V: current 1.2A)
3. Lithium battery protection: overcharge, overdischarge, over temperature, over-current protection (if short circuited due to misoperation and enters the protection state without output, connect 5V charging to automatically activate and restore output).
Product Size
1. USB port and 5V+or 5V - are external power supply ports, choose one of them. USP+and UPS - are labeled as output interfaces. Weld the battery box on the back and connect the 18650 lithium battery. It can also be connected to other 3.7V lithium batteries.
2. When used as a UPS, it is necessary to install a battery to ensure that the input 5V power supply has sufficient power, the output remains conductive in real time, and the battery can be started at any time when the power is cut off.
3. If UPS wants to save energy consumption, solder off the output indicator lights after all tests are completed. This can reduce the current consumption by more than ten mA without affecting the normal output of the circuit, which is more energy-efficient.
4. During the operation, the board may enter a protective state and not output due to various reasons (such as accidental touch, wrong connection, etc.). After troubleshooting, you can connect the charging port of the board to 5V for charging, and then power on the board again to activate and output again.
5. Some users use 5V charging power supplies with large output capacitors inside, which can continue to discharge after the power is cut off, causing a gradual decrease in power supply voltage. This can result in the board not quickly switching battery power after the power is turned off. If you encounter such a situation, you can connect a discharge resistor of about 1K to the 5V input port.
6. If you want to increase the battery capacity of the UPS module, you can use multiple parallel connections, and other functions will not be affected.
Product Attention
Matters Needing Attention
1. There are MOS and other components on the board that are easily damaged by induction or static electricity from a soldering iron. Please ensure that the soldering iron used is grounded (and the grounding wire is conductive), and it is best to wear anti-static gloves when operating.
2. Be careful not to install the battery upside down, otherwise it may burn the board
3. Please choose a power supply with sufficient power. To ensure the normal operation of the board.
4. The power supply of the board should not exceed 5V
5. The board was modified without technical confirmation. Our store is not responsible for technical support and after-sales service.
6. It is normal for modules to generate heat during high-power operation, just pay attention to fan heating.
