The GY-NEO-7/8M module is based on the UBLOX NE0-7M/8M GPS module (HW-448A7M with large antenna, HW-448B 7M with small antenna, HW-448C 8M with large antenna, HW-448D 8M with small antenna). It supports UART communication protocol and has EEPROM storage function, making it easy to connect this module to a microcontroller. It can be directly connected to a computer through USB to TTL serial port for various parameter settings and saved in EEPROM. It comes with a rechargeable backup battery that can maintain ephemeris data in case of power failure,
