Product Introduction

You have 12C sensors and you want to connect two or three or more to your 12C sensor, when you realize "Oh, this chip has a fixed 12C address, and from what I know about 12C, you can't have two devices with the same address on the same SDA/SCL pins!" Are you out of luck? You would be, if you didn't have this super cool CJMCU-9548 to 812C multiplexer! Finally, a way to reach 8 identically addressed, 12C devices connected to a microcontroller - this multiplexer acts as a gatekeeper, shuttling commands to the selected 12C pin with your commands.

Using it is pretty simple: the multiplexer itself is on 12C address 0x70 (but can be adjusted from 0x70 to 0x77), you just write a byte to the desired number of multiplexed output ports, and BAM - any future 12C packets will be sent to that port. In theory you could have 8 multiplexers, each with 0x70-0x77 addresses in order to control 64 same-i2c-addressed-partos. Like all Adafruit breakouts, we put this nice chip on a breakout, so you can use it on a breadboard for capacitance and resistance detection, and use the card. Some headers are required, and once soldered can be plugged into a breadboard. The chip itself is 3v and 5v compatible so you can use it with any logic level.
