The   LM2675  series  of  regulators   are   monolithicintegrated   DC-DC   converter   circuits   built  with   aLMDMOS  process . These  regulators  provide all theactive  functions  for  a  step-down  (buck)  switchingregulator, capable of driving a  1A  load current withexcellent line and load regulation . These devices areavailable in fixed output voltages of 3 .3V, 5V, 12V, andan adjustable output version .

Requiring     a     minimum     number     of     externalcomponents, these regulators are simple to use andinclude patented internal frequency compensation anda fixed frequency oscillator.

The    LM2675    series    operates    at    a    switchingfrequency  of  260kHz,  thus  allowing  smaller-sizedfilter  components  than  what  is  needed  with  lowerfrequency switching regulators . Because of the veryhigh  efficiency  (>  90%),  the  copper  traces  on  theprinted-circuit board are the only heat sinking needed .
