Product Descriptions

These octal buffers and line drivers are designedspecifically to improve both the performance anddensity of 3-state memory address drivers, clockdrivers,    and    bus-oriented    receivers    andtransmitters . Taken together with the ′F240 and ′F241,  these  devices  provide  the  choice  ofselected     combinations     of     inverting     andnoninverting outputs,symmetrical OE (active-lowoutput-enable)  inputs,  and  complementary  OEand OE inputs .

The ′F244 is organized as two 4-bit buffers/linedrivers with separate output enable (OE) inputs .

When OE is low,the device passes data from theA inputs to the Y outputs . When OE is high, theoutputs are in the high-impedance state .

The   SN74F244   is   available   in   shrinksmall-outline package (DB), which provides thesame I/O pin count and functionality of standardsmall-outline  packages  in  less  than  half  theprinted-circuit-board area .

The SN54F244 is characterized for operation overthe full military temperature range of –55°C to125°C .   The   SN74F244   is   characterized  foroperation from 0°C to 70°C .​
